I’ve been working very gently from my bedroom today, because I’m about to start my period and all I want is to melt into my fluffy blankets with a cup of rose tea and a piece of organic vanilla bean dark chocolate.
As you might experience yourself, my mental and physical energy levels begin to decline right after ovulation.
My sexual, creative energy is a different story. I always get this creative spike and because sexual energy and creative energy are one in the same, I also tend to feel turned on a lot more. Craving my man (his scent, his touch, his warmth, his cock) is something that shoots through the roof on my period — but does that mean I should have sex on my period?
Should YOU have sex on yours?
I felt inspired to make a video from my bed talking about period sex.

I get quite a few questions about whether it’s safe or okay to have sex on your period so if you’re wondering that, then you’ll enjoy this week’s slightly impromptu video.
When I was engaged to my ex several years ago there were many periods I spent feeling very unsacred. I had all these thoughts in my head, because I saw my menstrual cycle as something sacred, to be revered and celebrated.
Why didn’t he want to touch me?
Why didn’t he want to have sex with me?
Why was he so fucking freaked out about a little menstrual blood? — at least he doesn’t have to feel the cramps!
Personally, I just can’t be with a man who doesn’t see my menstrual blood as sacred or at the very least, an acceptable fluid to have coming out of my body and possibly covering parts of his body. 😉
My current partner is very respectful of my menstrual cycle. He doesn’t mind the blood — in fact he LOVES my period. He loves my softness, my power, my sexual energy and yes, even the blood.
